Our story

One family. One mission. Thirteen causes.

What started as a Bar Mitzvah project became a cross-country journey of kindness, connection, and community.

How it all began

One Boy's Bar Mitzvah Project Changed Everything

When Will Biscardi was preparing for his Bar Mitzvah, he wanted his mitzvah project — the act of service that is central to the Jewish coming-of-age tradition — to be something truly meaningful. Not a bake sale. Not a car wash. Something that would leave a real mark on the world.

Together with his cousin, Dylan Fox, and inspired by the concept of 13 Random Acts of Kindness (one for each year of his life), Will mapped out a cross-country RV journey with his family. The plan: visit 13 nonprofits across 9 states, donating money, books, supplies, and time to each one.

What began as a Bar Mitzvah project became something far bigger. The journey — 6,000+ miles, 9 states, 13 causes — was just the beginning.

Still Going

Why 13 Nonprofits?

In Jewish tradition, a Bar Mitzvah marks the age of 13 — the moment a young person takes on adult responsibilities. Will chose 13 organizations to honor that milestone, each one representing a community, a cause, and a commitment to making the world a little better.

Compassion

Every stop was chosen because real people needed real help.

Connection

Crossing state lines to show that kindness has no borders.

Action

Not just awareness — Will showed up, donated, and volunteered.

Community

Inspiring other young people to find their own mitzvah project.
